Volunteer 2010

An event like Trek for Timor needs lots of volunteers, both in the lead-up and on the day.

In 2010, from just a small group of volunteers, our team grew and grew. Marshals trekked out to the far reaches of the course, armed with first aid kits and words of encouragement; the registration teams set up their tables before the sun had risen; checkpoint helpers became cheer leaders; St John volunteers tended to blisters and scrapes; and the volunteers from WICEN kept the radios rolling and communicated news across the course.

Without all these wonderful teams of volunteers, we would have been lost.
